Fernanda J. Carregado, in her beginnings in Spain, discovered hat making by taking different courses to specialize in it. She saw the making of a hat as the creation of a sculpture, this being the beginning of a discovery that is still present in her narratives to this day. artistic. The Sea by Car is an intimate work representing his experience through the hat and his personal growth.
For the person who heard this expression for the first time and many more.

Foreword
I met my namesake years ago in her beginnings as a designer and creator of her headdress-sculptures. Experimentation and dedication, together with her passionate dedication and the passage of time, have led her to strike in the same direction.
These headdresses are transformed into ceramic, ornamental sculptures and luminaires, which are presented on six models. Selected photographers will be in charge of photographing these models that evoke ancient carriers of containers with water. Magnificent photographs will be the result of this interesting and functional project, which gladly threatens to reach greater distance and depth.
On this journey that only she can stop (and I know that no one will dare to invite her to take a break), Fernanda is in a hypnotizing but pleasant spiral of work. Investigative, curious, questioning and tireless; capable of achieving everything he has in his hands, in his mind, and above all in that big heart.
We agree in name and in perseverance.
A pleasure, and my most sincere congratulations for your shared creativity.
Do not stop.

A phrase originated in Spain at the beginning of the 20th century when going by car to the coast was a luxury. At the beginning of the 20th century and from Spain, we received a very popular expression. It happened around then that the first automobiles were beginning to be seen on the streets, competing with horse-drawn carriages. To own one of them you needed to have a lot of money. Since in those years it also became fashionable for the wealthiest to go on vacation to the Mediterranean or Atlantic resorts, the height of exquisiteness was to travel there with your own car. He who could do that, could do everything. That's why the phrase "Going to the sea by car" arose, meaning that whoever could afford those two luxuries combined was a tycoon. This expression, over time and in our lands, was simplified into “… and the sea by car” , as if saying: “you want everything”. Sometimes, it is usually used as etcetera, to finish off a series of things. The title of this exhibition reflects that expression, since it is a retrospective of the creative evolution of the artist Fernanda J. Carregado. The hat in the beginning was a great trigger for his work, seeing these pieces when creating them as sculptures and also going through the world of fashion until he created sculptures in different materials and experienced disciplines. This exhibition contains a collection of ceramic sculptures with textile details that are transformed into lamps and then become artistic hats. The artist has been inspired by her own pieces that she developed during her professional career over the years. A hybrid piece that transforms from sculpture to lamp and then to hat, ending in an artistic photograph taken in collaboration with a professional photographer. A handmade ceramic piece with the ambition to have it all, that wants it all and wants to be many things. In a few words, and the sea by car.
I.-The hat box is born in me.
The hatmaker was born in me. Discovering the world of hats and headdresses in 2006 was a great change for me, a place where I could express myself without limits and with sensitivity. It was a channel of liberation from difficult moments, where I learned about emotions in an intense way. . Marie's Headdress represents my discovery and my study of this discipline that gave me tears of emotion and strength for a great change in my life.

II.-Details in the immensity
Upon entering this world I found my personal style and my pieces were recognized in the crowd. A bit of art and a sense of beauty deeply engraved in me since I was a child naturally. I cannot believe in an environment without beauty, I feel that every day there is more to create. The Selly hat is my step into the details and the desire to discover how to make excellence in these pieces.

III.-Spain always
In Sofía's comb, it is inevitable that my surroundings will splash me and live according to my living space. Spain has been and is for me the land where I grew up inside and my home. This conceptual comb represents my life in Spain, my treatment, love and respect for Andalusia.

IV.-Elegant humility
Over time I understood that ascending is beauty and heights, both physical and mental, are what give us incomparable elegance. Look at things from above, from the outside, leave the plane to be able to understand it as a simple spectator and leave the ego aside. Create and learn to live. Understanding how to improve your emotions and manage them is Harry's hat.

V.-Complex harmony
Over the years I need to evolve and incorporate new materials, merge knowledge until I can make headdresses and hats with unconventional materials. Susana's hat represents my openness of mind towards another world and creative, personal and emotional growth. Maturity makes my pieces acquire a harmonious but complex meaning.

VI.-My calm anxiety
When you don't see limits, sometimes it's like drinking from a firefighter's hose, having a thousand ideas and feeling like your time and your body can't develop what your mind wants. Anxiety to create and transmit everything I have inside my heart and tell as many stories as my hands can develop. Emilio's hat is me with my head, many personal projects, my developed aesthetic sense and desire for more, armed from head to toe at a stage in which I feel good about myself and I am enough

Observation on artistic portraits:
Each piece bears the first name of the model chosen by the artistic photographer in his interpretation of the dialogue “The Sea by Car” with the simple intention of integrating the piece into the story of each portrait made. The model and sculpture are represented as an artistic unit. Each photograph has been the photographer's personal interpretation of the narrative created by the visual artist and the piece has been chosen by him to photograph. The photographers highlight their personal imprint and create a unique piece with their own style. They have chosen the type of paper to make the print and the visual artist the artisanal frame for its artistic support, in order to unify and make the entire collection work with the same visual code.
